Job summary

ESB is seeking a Credit Control Team Leader-Commercial to lead the debt collection and credit control activities for commercial accounts in Ireland. The role focuses on performance delivery, governance and a positive customer experience, while developing a high-performing team.

You will drive effective debt collection, implement improvements, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with internal and external partners to optimise commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in customer operations, credit control or similar.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive performance through KPIs and controls.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Credit Control team, promoting accountability and improvement.
• Manage day-to-day credit control activities across commercial portfolios.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels and operational targets with corrective actions.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, partners and agencies.
• Ensure robust governance, controls and compliance processes.
• Analyze performance and debt trends; provide reporting and insights.
• Lead change initiatives and process improvements to boost efficiency.
