The HVAC Site Lead at Loxo will oversee daily maintenance, utilities and production support systems at a major pharmaceutical site in Cork. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has GMP manufacturing experience, strong supervisory skills and a track record of coordinating maintenance, validation and contractor activities on large facilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong HVAC and utilities maintenance experience.
  • Previous supervisory, lead technician or team leadership experience.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, medical device or cleanroom environments would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, validation or compliance activities would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Leading site HVAC and facilities maintenance activities
  • Managing preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
  • Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, extraction and utility systems
  • Supporting motors, controls and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Monitoring and maintaining critical utilities across the site
  • Managing site work orders through a CMMS system
  • Coordinating validation and specialist engineering personnel
  • Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with site procedures
  • Supporting equipment calibration and technical documentation requirements
  • Participating in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS and engineering standards
  • Acting as the primary engineering contact for site facilities and maintenance activities

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading engineering services provider supporting highly regulated industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare and advanced manufacturing environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an HVAC Site Lead to oversee daily maintenance, utilities and facilities activities at a major pharmaceutical site in Cork.

THE ROLE

The successful HVAC Site Lead will be responsible for coordinating and supporting site maintenance activities, ensuring critical HVAC, extraction, utilities and production support systems operate safely and efficiently.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for a senior HVAC Technician, Utilities Engineer or Facilities Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

Key responsibilities include

THE PERSON

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within HVAC, facilities maintenance, utilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing, cleanroom environments or industrial engineering operations.
