Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions, part of the Fluor Group, is seeking an experienced Grey Utilities HVAC Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Limerick on an initial 11-month contract. This role will support a major site expansion and commissioning programme, delivering technical expertise across HVAC and grey utility systems to ensure project delivery and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven HVAC experience in regulated pharma/biotech environments.
• Experience supporting commissioning, start-up or CQV activities.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and start-up activities for HVAC and grey utility systems.
• Provide technical oversight during installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review commissioning documentation, protocols and turnover packages.
• Participate in system walkdowns, punch-list management and issue resolution.
• Liaise with engineering, construction, maintenance and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and utility system issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure activities comply with site safety and quality requirements.
• Support project milestones and commissioning schedules.

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Grey Utilities HVAC Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Limerick on an initial 11-month contract.

This position will support a major site expansion and commissioning programme, providing technical expertise across HVAC and utility systems to ensure successful project delivery and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and start-up activities for HVAC and associated grey utility systems.
• Provide technical oversight during installation, testing, commissioning and system handover.
• Review commissioning documentation, protocols and turnover packages.
• Participate in system walkdowns, punch-list management and issue resolution activities.
• Liaise with engineering, construction, maintenance and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and utility system issues during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
• Support the achievement of project milestones and commissioning schedules.

Required Experience

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with HVAC systems within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting commissioning, start-up or CQV activities.
• Strong understanding of HVAC system operation, testing and performance verification.
• Experience working on capital projects within industrial or manufacturing facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of cleanroom HVAC systems and environmental controls.
• Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments.
• Experience supporting projects through construction, commissioning and operational handover.
