Job summary

EFOR is seeking an experienced HVAC design engineer for Pharma/Biotech projects. You will be responsible for HVAC and Building Services design as part of a multi-disciplined projects team.

You will prepare HVAC deliverables, coordinate with contractors during construction and commissioning, and monitor schedule and budget across multiple projects while ensuring health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• BE degree in Engineering preferred with 5–10+ years HVAC/Mechanical design experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and Building Services for Pharma/Biotech projects within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prepare HVAC deliverables (AFID, design calculations, chillers, BMS, utilities).
• Generate scope of work packages for HVAC contractors for tender.
• Coordinate and supervise HVAC contractors during construction and commissioning.
• Monitor schedule and budget; coordinate contractor activities to ensure delivery.
• Procure AHUs and related equipment; provide technical support to project team and clients.
• Participate in constructability and safety reviews.
• Review project scope, budget and schedule; manage multiple projects.
• Ensure health and safety on site related to project role.
• Schedule programming and monitor progress, ensuring regulatory compliance and costs.

Job description

Previous HVAC design and construction support experience in the Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology industry is essential.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the HVAC and Building Services Design for Pharma/Biotech as part of a multi-disciplined projects team.
• Preparation of HVAC Deliverables, including AF&ID's, HVAC design calculations, Chillers design, assisting BMS design and utility systems design.
• Generating detailed scope of work packages for HVAC contractor for tender / procurement process.
• Co-ordination and supervision of HVAC contractor(s) during construction and commissioning activities.
• Co-ordinate contractor activities to monitor and track work ensuring delivery of the schedule and budget.
• The Specification and procurement of AHU's, etc.
• Technical support to both the project team and clients
• Participate in Constructability and Safety reviews.
• Review project scope, budget and schedule
• Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity
• All aspects of Health & Safety on site related to project role.
• Programming works schedule and monitoring progress, compliance with regulations and costs.

Experience:

• A BE degree in Engineering is preferred along with 5 to 10 plus years' experience in HVAC/Mechanical design and construction environments
• Good communications and teamwork skills are essential.
