Job summary

Lincoln Recruitment Specialists is recruiting an HR Officer for a busy food manufacturing operation in Kildare. This hands-on role covers recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, training and HR systems within a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will support payroll-related changes, maintain HR records, deliver inductions and partner with managers to implement HR policies and processes. A positive, proactive communicator is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' HR experience in busy operational or manufacturing settings.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Experience across recruitment, employee relations, L&D and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Organised with strong time-management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, especially for General Operative roles.
  • Collaborate with managers on advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and offers.
  • Advise on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
  • Support and manage grievance and disciplinary processes.
  • Deliver inductions and support training and development needs.
  • Coordinate with payroll on new hires, promotions, leavers and related changes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and HR systems, including attendance and payroll data.
  • Produce HR reports on attendance, payroll, trends and KPIs.
  • Monitor employment permit renewals and expiries.
  • Support HR projects and process improvements.

HR Officer | Food Manufacturing | Kildare

1 Day available WFH post probation

I’m currently recruiting for an HR Officer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Kildare. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role supporting a busy operational environment, with exposure across recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, training and development, reporting and HR systems.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8-5pm

Responsibilities
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment, with particular responsibility for General Operative recruitment.
  • Working with hiring managers across the business on advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and offers.
  • Advising managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
  • Supporting and managing grievance and disciplinary processes.
  • Delivering new employee inductions and supporting training and development requirements.
  • Working closely with payroll on new hires, promotions, leavers and other employee-related changes.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and HR systems, including absence, payroll and employee data.
  • Producing HR reports covering areas such as attendance, payroll, trends and KPIs.
  • Monitoring employment permit renewals and expiries.
  • Supporting HR projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems.
  • Acting as a key HR point of contact for production managers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' HR experience, preferably gained within a busy operational or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Experience across a broad range of HR disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, L&D and employee wellbeing.
  • Confidence dealing with managers and employees at all levels.
  • Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and HR systems.
