HR Manager | Logistics | Permanent | Hybrid

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a growing organisation and take ownership of the HR function across the business.
This is a broad, hands‑on HR role, working closely with senior management and line managers to develop and deliver the people strategy while ensuring strong HR processes, employee relations and legislative compliance.
The role involves regular travel between Galway and Dublin. A full clean drivers license is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing the HR strategy in line with wider business objectives.
- Advising senior management and line managers on all aspects of HR and employee relations.
- Keeping up to date with employment legislation, employee relations developments and labour‑market trends.
- Supporting managers with performance management, employee relations and people‑related decision making.
- Managing HR policies, procedures and employment conditions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Overseeing HR administration, employee records and HR systems.
- Managing absence and occupational health processes, including acting as a case manager where required.
- Supporting recruitment and selection processes and advising managers on best practice.
- Managing relationships with external HR, recruitment, training and occupational health providers.
- Supporting learning and development initiatives.
- Advising on health & safety, working conditions and related HR matters.
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and ways of working.
- Providing regular HR reporting and updates to senior management.
- Acting as a trusted and confidential point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters.
Requirements:
- Experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role ideally within logistics/FMCG.
- A solid understanding of employment law, employee relations and HR processes.
- Experience partnering with senior management and line managers.
- Experience managing absence, employee relations and potentially complex HR cases.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and personnel administration.
- Experience managing external HR, recruitment, training or occupational health providers.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions within an established framework.
- A proactive approach to identifying problems and implementing improvements.
- Strong organisational skills and a genuine focus on delivering results.
