Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior HR Manager for a manufacturing site in Co. Tipperary. This role is fully onsite and will oversee HR operations in a unionised environment, driving recruitment, training, employee relations and engagement.

You will partner with site leadership to ensure compliance with employment legislation, performance management, health and safety, and continuous improvement through data analysis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years at management level.
• Experience in a labour-intensive, operational environment, ideally manufacturing or similar sectors.
• Experience working within a unionised environment with strong employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice with a hands-on, commercially focused approach.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse HR data and implement practical solutions.

What you need to know

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior HR Manager to join their team. This role is based fully onsite in Co. Tipperary.

As the Senior HR Manager, in this operational role, you will have responsibility in a unionised environment, managing all areas of the HR agenda including recruitment, training, employee relations, industrial relations and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workforce planning and attendance, recruitment and onboarding, and employee records and compliance.
• Manage employee relations and industrial relations within a unionised environment.
• Lead performance, training and development, employee engagement and communications.
• Support Health & Safety, risk management, change and business support across the site.
• Drive continuous improvement, analyse HR data, identify issues and implement practical solutions.

Requirements:

• 10+ years' HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years at management level.
• Experience in a labour-intensive, operational environment, ideally manufacturing, food production, retail/hospitality or a similar sector.
• Experience working within a unionised environment, with strong employee relations experience and the ability to coach and advise managers and supervisors.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, with a hands-on, commercially focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse HR data and implement practical solutions.

Travel to sister sites – Own transport & driving licence required.
