Nexus Recruitment Partners is helping a leading food production business in Charleville, Co. Cork, Ireland to hire a HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll queries and HR reporting, maintaining records with GDPR compliance and ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation; you will work with managers to support a varied workload and drive effective HR processes.

Qualifications

• A third-level qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline.
• At least two years' experience in an HR Generalist/Officer/Coordinator role.
• Solid understanding of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience across recruitment, employee relations, absence management and HR administration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CoreHR, PeopleXD or payroll processes would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, prepare employment contracts and support inductions and departures.
• Assist managers with employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Support work permit administration and pre-employment checks for non-EU candidates.
• Compile workforce reports covering attendance, turnover, annual leave and working time.
• Assist with payroll queries and liaise with payroll and finance teams to resolve pay-related issues.
• Maintain employee records and support HR systems, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, graduate recruitment and wider HR projects.
• Assist with ethical audits and ensure HR processes align with company policies and employment legislation.

Our client is a leading food production business supplying customers across retail, foodservice and international markets. They are now looking for a HR Generalist to join their team in Charleville, supporting day-to-day HR operations within a busy manufacturing environment.

This is a broad HR position with involvement in everything from recruitment and employee relations to payroll support and HR reporting. You'll work with colleagues across the business to ensure employees are supported, records are maintained accurately and HR processes are managed in line with company policies and Irish employment legislation.
