Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a HR Reporting Consultant to lead Workday reporting initiatives and deliver critical HR analytics globally. You will collaborate with HR COEs to develop BI reports, support data-driven decisions, and advance the HR digital transformation across the enterprise.

The role involves guiding junior report writers, ensuring data confidentiality, and optimizing reporting processes to improve HR efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in complex report development in Workday for HR (advanced report, discovery boards, composite reports, trending reports, calculated fields).
• A strong understanding of data needs for analysis and business management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to pinpoint problems in data records based on analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver report solutions and anticipate report needs.
• Perform reporting change requests related to business process flow and security based on business requirements.
• Respond to HR data requests on an ad hoc basis by gathering, analyzing, and reporting relevant data from various sources.
• Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality requirements relating to HR and Financial data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and drive productivity through reporting solutions.
• Train and guide junior report writers and data stewards on Workday reporting capabilities.
• Facilitate data extraction, collection, and other strategies that will help optimize efficiency and data quality.
