Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions in Ireland is seeking a solutions-oriented HR Specialist - Contingent Workforce to support client engagements and act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and contractors.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day HR queries, employee relations matters, onboarding of contractors, and collaboration with HRBP/People teams while maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with HR advisory & employee relations experience.
  • Experience managing performance, conduct, investigations or other employee relations matters.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice; UK knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence handling challenging conversations.
  • Sound HR judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive matters appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR support for the account, managing day-to-day people queries, concerns and escalations.
  • Support performance conversations and communicate client feedback to contractors in a fair, clear and constructive manner.
  • Manage HR case intake and support or lead investigations where appropriate.
  • Partner with internal HRBP/People teams on client-led investigations and contractor-related employee relations matters.
  • Support disciplinary processes and terminations where necessary and appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure HR matters are managed consistently and professionally.
  • Exercise sound judgement and elevate complex, sensitive or high-risk cases to the Regional People Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, Program Ambassadors, Payroll, Data Management, Operations and the wider People Team.

Join Our Team

Tundra is seeking a solutions-oriented HR Specialist - Contingent Workforce to support one of our key client engagements. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to our internal teams and client stakeholders, ensuring effective management of contingent workforce employee relations, compliance, and workforce processes.

This position plays a critical role in managing escalations, navigating complex employee relations situations, strengthening workforce processes, and mitigating risk while maintaining a positive experience for our consultants and clients. The ideal candidate brings HR advisory capabilities, labor law knowledge, and experience supporting a contingent or project-based workforce within a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Contractor Experience & Engagement
  • Partner with Program Ambassadors to deliver a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new contractors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for contractors throughout their assignment, resolving queries and directing them to appropriate support teams.
  • Build strong relationships through regular check-ins, in-person engagement and informal on-site interactions.
  • Proactively communicate key updates, including timesheet reminders, deadlines, policy changes and payroll information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding, engagement and the overall contractor experience.
  • Support reporting and provide insight into contractor experience and emerging themes.
HR & Employee Relations

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with HR advisory & employee relations experience.
  • Experience managing performance, conduct, investigations or other employee relations matters.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice; UK knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence handling challenging conversations.
  • Sound HR judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is 50,000 – 55,000 EUR with a 5% discretionary performance related bonus.
