Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking an HR professional to oversee recruitment, onboarding and employee relations across our hospitality properties. You will screen applications, coordinate interviews and reference checks, and maintain HR records and pre-employment documentation.

This role supports staff development through our Dalata Academy, promotes wellbeing, engagement and retention, and ensures compliant HR practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in Human Resources.
• Experience or exposure to Recruitment and Selection.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration and employment practices.
• Approachable and confident when dealing with employees and managers at all levels.
• Ability to drive Training and Development and drive succession planning.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Selection: Manage end-to-end screening applications, coordinating interviews & reference checks.
• Onboarding & Induction: Ensure all documentation, contracts, HR records, and pre-employment requirements are completed. Deliver and coordinate induction programmes, introducing new colleagues to the hotel, its culture, policies, procedures, values, and health & safety requirements.
• Employee Engagement: Support initiatives that promote colleague wellbeing, recognition, communication, motivation, and retention. Organise employee events, engagement activities, and feedback initiatives.
• Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation, company policies, health & safety requirements, and relevant hotel standards. Maintain appropriate documentation and support audits when required.
• Training & Development: Ensure all statutory training is completed and up to date, while engaging with team members to identify and promote relevant training and development opportunities.
• Employee Relations: Provide day-to-day HR support to colleagues and managers, handling employee queries professionally and assisting with disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance-related matters.
• HR Reporting: Maintain HR data and prepare regular reports on recruitment, turnover, absence, engagement, training, and other key HR metrics.
