Job summary

ICE Group in Galway is seeking a hands-on HR professional for a 12-month Employee Relations contract. You will manage employee and agency worker relations, support investigations, and coordinate probation, disciplinary matters, and terminations, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law.

You'll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders, support onboarding and workforce planning, and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years' HR experience in employee relations or recruitment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee and agency worker relations from initial review through to resolution.
  • Support and conduct workplace investigations in a fair, objective, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate probation reviews, corrective action processes, disciplinary matters, grievances, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding, engagement, communication, and retention initiatives.

Build Your Career in Employee Relations

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0-3 years' HR experience who wants hands-on exposure to investigations, grievance and disciplinary processes, workforce compliance, stakeholder management, and recruitment support. This is a contract role for a period of 12 months.

Working closely with clients, managers, and agency workers, you will play a key role in ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant people practices while helping to create positive employee experiences across multiple client sites.

What You'll Be Doing Employee Relations & Workforce Management
  • Manage employee and agency worker relations matters from initial review through to resolution.
  • Support and conduct workplace investigations in a fair, objective, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate probation reviews, corrective action processes, disciplinary matters, grievances, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding, engagement, communication, and retention initiatives.
Client Partnership & Stakeholder Support
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact for agency worker relations matters.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide practical HR advice and recommendations to support workforce decisions.
  • Participate in client meetings, operational reviews, and workforce planning discussions.
Recruitment Support
  • Assist recruitment teams with candidate management and workforce planning activities.
  • Support hiring and onboarding processes as required.
  • Ensure recruitment practices align with compliance and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and workforce processes.
  • Support HR projects, workforce initiatives, and organisational change activities.
  • Analyse trends and make recommendations to reduce risk and improve workforce outcomes.
What We're Looking For Essential
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • 0-3 years' experience in HR, Employee Relations, Recruitment, or Workforce Administration.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information.
Desirable
  • Experience supporting investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes, or corrective action procedures.
  • Knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, customer service, or other fast-paced operational environments.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
