nbxTalent is seeking an enthusiastic Employee Relations Specialist to join our client’s Dublin team. This permanent role offers a hybrid work model (4 days in the office, 1 day WFH) with a clear path to influence ER/IR across Europe.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will act as a first contact for clients, external legal stakeholders and trade unions; develop relations with unions; and support negotiations.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in employee relations or HR.
  • 3+ years in employee relations, ER/IR or HRBP roles.
  • Experience with international negotiations with trade unions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for clients, external legal stakeholders and trade unions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trade unions, representative associations, and external bodies
  • Support with the preparation of materials for any negotiations processes with the Representatives/ trade unions
  • Provide support in the preparation and submission of materials as well as represent the organisation in the external hearings in Ireland and in other European countries
  • Schedule ER/IR meetings, assist with materials, prepare minutes for key stakeholders and support with any follow-on actions
  • Develop communications for internal and external stakeholders regarding ER/ IR matters
  • Engage with legal services where required
  • Support with policy updates and embedding new updates or learnings within the Company
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of the Employee Relations processes and systems
  • Assist in negotiating agreements, resolving employment issues, and implementing policies
  • Develop and deliver training on industrial relations and employment related topics to management and staff
  • Travel approx. 25% of the time within EU (Covid-19 restriction permitting)
  • Participation in ad-hoc HR projects

About the job Employee Relations Specialist

Our client is an international organisation which specialises in a wide range of outsourcing HR Services & Solutions across Europe.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Dublin 13. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary (based on experience) and a hybrid work model (4 days in/1-day WFH).

Reporting to the HR Manager, the ER specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the wider HR team on all ER related matters. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in ER, ideally coming from a global multinational environment.

Responsibilities:

Act as a first point of contact for clients, external legal stakeholders and trade unions

Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with trade unions, representative associations, and external bodies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Fluency in English is essential for this position.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proven high level of knowledge across a broad range of employment law relating to case management and able to look up relevant legislation as needed.

Requirements:

BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent relevant employee relations experience, ideally focused on employee relations, employment law, or HRBP/People Partner experiences (ideally 3+ years)

Previous experience with international ER/IR and attendance in negotiations with trade unions.

Previous experience in preparation and representation in third-party hearings.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with giving and receiving open, constructive feedback in a way that fosters trust and respect

Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills. Accuracy is crucial.

Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to independently handle shifting workloads in a high-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company, managers, client, and employees

Strong credibility and the ability to influence at all levels with excellent relationship management skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a diplomatic, tactful and discrete manner, while dealing with confidential and sensitive information.

Ability to work on own initiative at a local level, while also maintaining effective channels of communication.

Strong problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
