ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused HRBP role covering maternity leave. You’ll be the senior HR presence in Ireland for a broadcast team that delivers a managed service to a globally successful esports publisher.

You’ll join an established set-up, with live policies, training programmes and HR processes already in place. Your job is to keep them running well, deliver the people priorities for the period, and be the go-to adviser on Irish employment law for managers, the Service Delivery Manager and our other HR and payroll colleagues.

It’s a high-touch role with both the workforce and the client. Strong, current knowledge of Irish employment legislation is essential, as you’ll often be the only Irish HR specialist in the conversation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Business partnering and the client

  • Partner with the on-site Service Delivery Manager and function leads, giving practical HR advice that supports delivery of the managed service.
  • Contribute HR insight to regular client reviews and presentations, alongside the Service Delivery Manager.
Line manage, coach and develop the HR Coordinator.
  • Work with UK and global HR colleagues to apply group initiatives in Ireland and support workforce mobility.

Manager coaching and capability

  • Coach and upskill line managers to hold effective performance conversations and handle people issues confidently within their teams.
  • Run the performance management cycle on time and consistently, measuring performance against KPIs.
    Policies and compliance
  • Draft, review and update ROI policies and procedures so they reflect current Irish legislation, codes of practice and best practice.
  • Keep the business compliant with Irish employment law, flagging legislative changes and what they mean for the business.

Training design and delivery

  • Design and build training content, including interactive e-learning on our learning platform and material for live sessions.
  • Deliver training to employees and managers, in person and online, and keep accurate completion records.
Lead onboarding and induction for new joiners.

Employee relations

  • Manage ER cases from start to finish, including grievance, disciplinary, dignity at work and absence matters, in line with fair procedures and WRC codes of practice.
  • Keep case records accurate, confidential and compliant with GDPR, including handling data subject access requests.

Payroll, reporting and benefits

  • Prepare accurate monthly payroll inputs for our payroll team, covering starters, leavers, pay changes, deductions, leave and absence.
  • Act as the Irish point of contact for payroll, advising on ROI-specific requirements such as Revenue payroll notifications, PRSI and statutory leave.
  • Prepare and publish the annual Gender Pay Gap report under the Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021.
Manage employee benefits schemes such as the contact for providers and employees.
  • Keep employee data in PeopleHR (Access) accurate, and make sure managers and employees use it well.

Recruitment

  • Run end-to-end recruitment for the Dublin team, from defining the requirements to offer, with a close eye on diversity and inclusion.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Substantial, recent experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or senior HR generalist in Ireland.
  • Current, working knowledge of Irish employment law, applied in practice. This includes the Unfair Dismissals Acts, Employment Equality Acts, Organisation of Working Time Act, Terms of Employment (Information) Acts, Payment of Wages Act, statutory leave legislation (maternity, parental, parent’s, carers and others), the 2021 Code of Practice on bullying at work, and WRC procedures.
  • A track record of writing HR policies and procedures that comply with Irish law.
  • Experience designing training content and delivering it to both employees and managers.
  • Experience coaching line managers to handle performance and people issues themselves.
  • Experience managing ER cases end to end, to a standard that would stand up at the WRC.
  • Experience preparing payroll inputs and working closely with a payroll team, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience supervising or line managing at least one team member.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with employees, managers and client stakeholders.
Sound judgement and discretion with confidential information.
  • Experience preparing gender pay gap reports in Ireland.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools and learning platforms.
  • Experience in a managed service, client-facing or contract-based e nvironment.
  • Experience with PeopleHR (Access) or a similar HRIS.
