We currently have an opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join a biopharmaceutical company in Dublin City Centre. The successful candidate will support a range of employee and labour relations activities across the organisation, with a particular focus on organisational change and redundancy programmes, including collective redundancy processes where applicable. The role will partner closely with business leaders and HR colleagues to ensure fair, respectful and compliant practices are maintained throughout workforce change initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support redundancy and workforce reduction activities from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines, documentation and key actions are effectively coordinated.
- Partner with managers and key stakeholders to assess workforce impacts and support consultation and selection activities.
- Prepare and coordinate clear communication materials for employees affected by organisational change.
- Support risk assessment activities by identifying process gaps and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure all required steps are completed in line with employment legislation, company policy and local requirements.
- Support employee consultation meetings, follow-up actions and responses to employee queries.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances and workplace disputes.
- Support labour relations activities, including engagement with employee representative groups and collective bargaining processes.
- Provide guidance to management on maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace environment during periods of change.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support implementation of improvement actions arising from feedback.
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues, providing support and knowledge sharing as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Third level qualification in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience supporting redundancy programmes and workforce restructuring activities.
- Experience of collective redundancy processes would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong background in employee relations, labour relations or a related HR discipline.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations.
- Good knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience supporting organisational change initiatives within a complex business environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, professional documentation and communications.
- Comfortable working with digital technologies, AI-enabled tools and evolving workplace systems.
