Job summary

Dublin Dental University Hospital is seeking a HR Administrator to join the Human Resources Department to support audits and maintain HR data accurately. The role collaborates with senior HR staff to deliver compliant HR solutions across all staff.

A QQI Level 6+ HR qualification and at least two years of HR experience are essential. The successful candidate will manage HR data systems, ensure data protection, and contribute to policy revisions in line with evolving regulations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant third level qualification in Human Resource Management (QQI Level 6 or higher).
  • Minimum two years’ HR experience including policies, recruitment, learning and development, employment legislation, data protection, pensions and payroll.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, Employee Relations and employment legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administration and maintenance of the online HR database for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and report on probations, temporary contracts, staff attendance, etc.
  • Collect and compile data on Employment Control, absenteeism and related statistics.
  • Maintain department and staff records and files.
  • Assist with updating HR Policies and procedures in line with legislation and hospital policy.
  • Research and draft correspondence and reports; handle ad hoc projects as required.
  • Support GDPR and confidentiality requirements across HR processes.
  • Contribute as a team member, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and manage multiple issues simultaneously.

HR Administrator Grade IV – Specified Purpose Full-Time

The Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH) is seeking to recruit a HR Administrator to join the Human Resources (HR) Department in order to complete a number of audits.

Outline Of Duties And Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager of the HR department and the HR Team to deliver best practice HR solutions across all employees.

  • Managing the administration and maintenance of the online HR database to ensure the data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monitoring and reporting on probations, temporary contracts, staff attendance etc.
  • Collecting and compiling data and statistics relating to Employment Control, absenteeism, etc., as required.
  • Maintaining department/staff records and files.
  • Collecting and compiling data and statistics.
  • Assist with maintaining the HR Policies and Procedures and revisions in line with changing legislation and hospital policy.
  • Researching and writing correspondence and reports.
  • Ad hoc projects, as required.
  • A relevant third level qualification in Human Resource Management at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland (QQI).
  • A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a HR role that includes a working knowledge of the following: HR policies and procedures, recruitment and selection, learning and development, employment legislation, data protection, pensions and payroll.
  • Knowledge of contemporary Human Resources best practices, Employee Relations and all aspects of employment legislation.
  • Administrative, organisational and numeric skills including competency in MS Office and the maintenance of a HR database.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • An ability to contribute as a member of a team, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the role of HR in the organisation and how this Department contributes to the successful delivery of excellent customer service.
  • A clear understanding of adherence to employee confidentiality and GDPR.
  • Ideally an understanding of Public Sector HR rules and regulations.
  • Experience working with People XD HR System.
