Job summary

Dublin Simon Community is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Wicklow/Bray to help clients meet daily needs and achieve personal goals. You will follow best-practice standards in our accommodation services, participate in team planning, and complete a year-long induction with 10 training days to support your success.

Working hours are day shifts, 37.5 hours per week, with 7-day availability. Salary ranges from €33,500 to €38,250 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a similar setting (including voluntary work and college placement).
• 12 months of experience in a similar setting (including voluntary work and college placement).
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support project and key workers to implement operational and strategic goals; follow up on support plan actions.
• Build professional relationships of trust with all service users and residents; treat them with dignity and respect.
• Provide therapeutic and diversionary interventions; offer emotional and motivational support and promote positive mental health.
• Liaise with housing providers, healthcare professionals and social welfare; expand services to meet health needs.
• Deliver the personal, professional and social development programme.
• Assist in managing medication/health regimes and arranging healthcare appointments.
