Job summary

Crosscare is seeking a Housing Case Worker at Amiens Street in Dublin to provide case management and housing support within 24-hour short term residential services for adults experiencing homelessness. The role focuses on helping residents move to long-term housing, with an emphasis on dignity, collaboration and DRHE Pathways Model.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year experience in homeless or related services, relevant NFQ level qualification, and be prepared for a 38.5-hour week on a 7-day

Qualifications

• Option 1: BA Degree in Applied Social Care, Addiction, Mental Health, Nursing, Psychology, or NFQ/QQI Level 7 equivalence.
• Option 2: Level 6 qualification in Social Care or Addiction (NFQ/QQI).

Responsibilities

• Implement the case management system and engage in one-to-one work with a specific allocated caseload from referral to disengagement.
• Engage with service users with dignity and respect, working within Crosscare values.
• Assist residents to establish tenancies by identifying properties and liaising with landlords.
• Help residents understand and complete Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) paperwork and tenancy contracts.
• Accompany residents to tenancy signings and refer to tenancy sustainment programmes.
