Job summary

Respond in Dublin 9 is seeking a Project Worker to support families in Supported Temporary Accommodation. The role is permanent full-time (40 hours/week) with a salary of €40,018-€51,788. You will help families access housing, understand HAP, and work with landlords to secure suitable accommodation.

Responsibilities include intake, property viewings, tenancy education, and developing support plans. Garda Vetting will be conducted regularly.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, Housing & Welfare.
  • Knowledge of Pathways to Home, HAP, HNAs and SLI.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in homelessness, homelessness causes, and related services.
  • Experience managing complex situations in client-based services.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection.
  • Ability to work within professional boundaries and with non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; highly motivated, reliable and flexible.
  • Ability to roster including evenings and weekends.
  • Garda Vetting will be conducted ongoingly.

Responsibilities

  • Admit families to the service with induction and welcome.
  • Support families to identify and access suitable properties; liaise with landlords.
  • accompany families to viewings and negotiate with landlords; ensure safety standards.
  • Assist families to understand and complete Housing Assistance Payment (HAP).
  • Explain tenancy conditions and rent arrangements with landlords.
  • Carry out assessments and develop a support plan with families.
  • Update PASS records where appropriate.
  • Facilitate access to local services and advocate for families.
  • Develop relationships with local services and agencies.
  • Complete accurate written records and attend team meetings.
