Job summary

Moorehall Lodge Ardee is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Assistant (20hrs) to join our caring team in Ardee, Co. Louth. The role focuses on keeping resident rooms and en-suite bathrooms clean daily, maintaining high standards, and supporting a comfortable home environment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible to work weekdays and weekends, with a passion for cleanliness and resident well-being, while following health and safety guidelines and our core values.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning in care settings.
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage in friendly conversation with Residents while cleaning their room
• Ensuring residents rooms and en-suite bathrooms are clean and tidy daily
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Protect equipment and report any issues or damages
• Notify superiors on any deficits and disturbances
• Handle reasonable requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere to health and safety rules and company practices

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Engage in friendly conversation with Residents while cleaning their room
• Ensuring residents rooms and en-suite bathrooms are clean and tidy on a daily basis
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
