Job summary

The Tullamore Court Hotel is seeking a commercially minded, organised Hotel Sales Executive to join our team. You will generate new business, convert enquiries and coordinate meetings, conferences and events, managing the client journey from enquiry to handover.

You will work closely with Sales, Meetings & Events and operations to build strong client relationships and support revenue objectives. This role requires a proactive, guest-focused approach and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel sales, meetings and events or conference coordination desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence converting enquiries into confirmed business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several enquiries and events simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Professional, proactive and guest-focused approach.
  • Confident communicating with corporate clients and internal hotel teams.
  • Strong administrative skills; experience with hotel systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to sales, meeting, conference and event enquiries.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed business while maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, local businesses and partners.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and event documentation accurately.
  • Conduct hotel show-arounds and present meeting, conference and accommodation facilities.
  • Coordinate meeting and conference requirements from enquiry through to handover.
  • Ensure all event details (room layouts, catering, accommodation, audiovisual) are recorded accurately.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell bedrooms, F&B, equipment and other facilities.
  • Conduct proactive sales activity to generate new business and strengthen existing accounts.
  • Follow up on enquiries, provisional bookings and lost business within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate client, booking and sales information in the systems.
  • Support sales campaigns, familiarisation visits and promotional events.
  • Communicate event requirements clearly to relevant operational departments.
  • Monitor client feedback and contribute to improving the customer journey.
  • Support the wider Sales and Meetings & Events teams in achieving targets.

Job description

The Tullamore Court Hotel is looking for a commercially minded, organised and relationship-focused HotelSalesExecutiveto join our team.

As Hotel Sales Executive, you will help generate new business, convert enquiries and coordinate successful meetings, conferences and events at the hotel. You will manage the client journey from initial enquiry through to event handover, ensuring every detail is communicated clearly and professionally.

Working closely with the hotel’s Sales, Meetings & Events and operational teams, you will build strong client relationships while supporting the hotel’s revenue and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and professionally to sales, meeting, conference and event enquiries.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hotel sales, meetings and events, conference coordination, reservations or a similar hospitality role is desirable.

  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence converting enquiries into confirmed business.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong organisational ability with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage several enquiries and events simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • A professional, proactive and guest-focused approach.

  • Confidence communicating with corporate clients, event organisers and internal hotel teams.

  • Strong administrative and computer skills.

  • Experience using hotel property-management, sales or event-management systems would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

  • Flexibility to support occasional client appointments or events outside normal working hours when required.
