Job summary

Talbot Hotel Midleton, part of the Talbot Collection, is recruiting a Human Resources Executive to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility.

The HR Executive will oversee the day-to-day HR activities of the hotel and report to the General Manager and the Group Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate will have a qualification in HR Management or be studying toward one, with a minimum of three years in a HR role.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Human Resources Management or currently studying to pursue it.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR role/department.
• Solid knowledge of Irish employment law and best practice.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Demonstrates emotional intelligence and leadership with conflict management abilities.
• Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR activities of the hotel.
• Support and advise Heads of Department on recruitment, training, performance management, engagement, development and talent planning.
• Manage recruitment processes from advertising to onboarding.
• Ensure onboarding, documentation and training for new employees.
• Maintain HR records and pursue a paperless HR environment.
• Coordinate statutory training and refresher courses.
• Handle disciplinary processes in line with policy and liaise with Group HR Manager.
• Manage employee grievances per company procedures and liaise with Group HR Manager.
• Submit weekly payroll data to payroll department.
• Deliver group HR projects and maintain open communication with HODs and management.
• Monitor absenteeism and attendance.
