The Heritage in Laois offers a sophisticated elegance with impeccable hospitality at a countryside property that combines a luxury hotel and European Award Winning Spa. We are seeking an experienced Host to join our team to deliver outstanding guest service in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet guests, manage waiting lists and reservations, and respond to enquiries by phone and email while maintaining knowledge of the menu and seating logistics to ensure a seamless dining experience for

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm, professional first impression.
• Manage and maintain an accurate waiting list during busy service periods, keeping guests informed of anticipated waiting times.
• Handle and coordinate restaurant reservations efficiently, both in person, over the telephone and via email.
• Respond to guest enquiries promptly and professionally across in-person, telephone and email communications, providing accurate information and a high standard of customer service.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu.
• Communicate menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods accurately and confidently to guests.
• Manage guest seating efficiently by allocating guests evenly across designated sections to ensure a balanced workload and a smooth service experience for both guests and team members.
• Comfortable assisting with any other role within the restaurant when necessary.

The Heritage also offers guests a number of on-site activities such as our Health Club with Leisure Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam rooms, 5km Walking Track and Cinema.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Host to join our team at The Heritage! This role would suit a passionate Food and Beverage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest level of guest service is delivered.
