Job summary

The Heritage is seeking an Accommodation Assistant to help maintain guestroom and public areas to the highest standards in our Laois hotel and spa. You will work early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays to ensure guests enjoy impeccable service.

Previous experience is desirable but full training will be provided; duties include cleaning assigned areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining hygiene and safety across the property. A great team environment awaits.

Responsibilities

To ensure all public areas receive the service required on an ongoing basis
To ensure laundry area is always clean
Ensure that the correct PPE is always used
To inspect carpets, fabrics, furnishings, and fittings daily to check they are clean and in good repair
Clean public areas / toilets and sign off bathroom checklist on an hourly basis
Vacuum rooms, corridors, stairs and restock supplies
To ensure dirty towels are collected from vacant rooms
To ensure the collection of dirty linen and towels from corridors
Keep monthly stock take of towels and robes
Ensure that all towels and robes are in good condition
To inspect carpets, fabrics, furnishings, and fittings daily to check they are clean and in good repair
To ensure that VIP rooms receive special attention gifts, flowers etc.
To clean assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas, public /back of house areas to the highest standards, using only the approved chemicals / cleaning materials and equipment
Ensuring stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to the correct standards
Clean public areas / toilets and sign off bathroom checklist on an hourly basis
Maintain cleaning programme in operation
Vacuum rooms, corridors, stairs and restock supplies
Damp dust vacant rooms
Secure and record lost and found property, following the correct procedure
Note and report maintenance needed to your supervisor or manager
Stock Trolley
Empty rubbish and clean out vacuums
Maintain storage presses, and linen rooms
To carry out Linen Porter shifts as requested
Service of tea/coffee making facilities within all guestrooms
To ensure guest laundry is collected, charged and returned to guest in speedy and accurate fashion
Responsible for the cleaning of the corridor areas outside of the bedroom, including all skirting boards, hovering, polishing etc.

We are have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Assistant to join our team! The successful candidate must be available to work early and late shifts, weekends & bank holidays.

The successful candidate will ensure that all guestrooms, public and back of house areas are serviced to the agreed presentation and standards throughout the day and evening and will deliver excellent customer service to our guests. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but full training will be provided.
