Job summary

Baxterstorey Ireland is seeking a Hospitality and Events Manager to lead the stadium catering and hospitality operations in Cork. You will manage and coordinate the events team during regular operations and major events, working closely with the client, kitchen, and operations to deliver service to the highest standards on a 5 over 7 shift pattern.

This full-time, permanent role requires day-to-day planning, budgeting, health and safety compliance, and the ability to drive continuous

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1years’ experience in event and general management
  • Thorough understanding of the event and operations management process – conception to completion
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment while maintaining professional standards
  • Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience in budgeting/financial targets and compliance with procedures
  • Clear verbal and written communication; solution-oriented under pressure

Baxterstorey Ireland are looking for a Hospitality and Events Manager to join the team at a well-known sporting and entertainment location in Cork.

As Hospitality and Events Manager for Baxterstorey Ireland you responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the stadium events and day to day operations. You will manage and co-ordinate the team during the regular operations and key events, working closely with overall Operations team and the client to deliver seamlessly and in line with business expectations and standards.

The Hospitality and Events Manager will lead an exciting catering and event team to deliver the food & beverage/hospitality service requirements at a key Cork stadium.

Will also lead the front of house operation on assigned events, providing a comprehensive briefing and ongoing delegation to all team members involved in the delivery of the service.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure day to day stadium catering operations and hospitality events are set up as required and in line with business standards
  • Establish and manage daily and weekly event & operations planning meetings to ensure timely and effective communication across the team
  • To liaise with the kitchen, event sales, operations and client teams to deliver successful location operations.
  • Conducts short- and long-term planning and management for the catering service and hospitality events delivery.
  • Contributes to budget planning and objectives and manages within those approved plans. Provides accurate and timely weekly and month end financial reporting withing business guidelines.
  • Delivers on all food, health and safety requirements in line with business and operational standards, maintaining best practice and auditable excellence for the service and location
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1years’ experience in event and general management (ideally in a catering and hospitality environment although otherindustries will be considered)
  • Thorough understanding of the event and operations management process – conception to completion
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, commercial environment while maintaining professional and commercial standards
  • Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience in setting and controlling financial budgets/targets while delivering high compliance with procedural requirements
  • Concise and effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
  • Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
  • Creative, positive energy, self-directed, amiable, and composed under pressure; helpful and humble
