Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Wicklow is seeking a passionate Care Team Lead to support our care teams and deliver high-quality, person-centred care across Co. Wicklow.

You will mentor carers, help new team members settle into their roles and promote safe working practices with high standards of care. We’re looking for someone with QQI Level 5 Healthcare and ideally QQI Level 6 Supervisory Management, plus experience in homecare.

Qualifications

• A full QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, or an equivalent relevant care qualification.
• Ideally, a QQI Level 6 qualification in Supervisory Management, or currently working towards one.
• Experience delivering care in a homecare or community setting.
• A compassionate approach and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Supporting, guiding and mentoring carers in the community.
• Helping new team members settle into their roles.
• Promoting safe working practices and high standards of care.
• Building positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.
• Working closely with the wider care management team to communicate concerns and respond to changing care needs.
