Job summary

Right at Home Ireland is seeking an experienced Supervisor for a six‑month maternity‑cover contract across CHO6. You will support care teams, ensure high‑quality home care, and build strong relationships with clients and families.

The role requires 3–5 years in home care or health/social care, a QQI Level 6 Supervisory Management qualification (or working towards), and a full driving licence. You will mentor carers and ensure compliance with standards while travelling across CHO6.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience within home care, healthcare or social care.
• QQI Level 6 Supervisory Management or currently working towards this qualification.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience coaching or mentoring care staff.
• Experience carrying out client assessments, reviews, spot checks or quality audits.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and quality standards within care services.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence working independently in the community while remaining part of a wider team.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.
• A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Full right to work in Ireland.
• Availability to undertake a six-month maternity-cover contract.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of care services across CHO6.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance and mentoring to carers.
• Complete client assessments and care reviews.
• Carry out carer spot checks and competency reviews.
• Complete risk assessments and support development of care plans.
• Monitor quality and consistency of care delivered.
• Support carers with performance, training and development needs.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and staff.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding, quality or service concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with office, coordination, quality and operations teams.
• Support compliance with HSE requirements and HIQA standards.
• Travel throughout CHO6 to meet clients and staff.
