Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor for a Volvo Truck & Bus dealer in Kildare. The role leads a team of 10–15 technicians, ensuring efficient, safe workshop operations and high customer service standards.

Based at the Kildare depot, you will allocate jobs, monitor progress and support fault diagnosis and repairs. A strong HGV mechanical background and prior supervisory experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' post-apprenticeship experience.
• Strong HGV/Commercial Vehicle mechanical background preferred.
• Team Leader/Supervisory experience.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Calm, professional and technically strong.
• HGV/PSV licence an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and coordinate a team of 10–15 technicians.

• Monitor workshop efficiency, utilisation and job progress.
• Support technicians with fault diagnosis, servicing and repairs.

Our client is a long-established Volvo Truck & Bus dealership with an excellent reputation for quality, customer service and employee retention.

We are now looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of 10–15 technicians at their busy Kildare depot.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be responsible for keeping the workshop running efficiently, safely and to the highest standards.
