WHITTEN ROAD HAULAGE LIMITED in Ireland is seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to service and repair our fleet, including Scania trucks and trailers. You will diagnose faults, perform inspections, and carry out maintenance to the standards required by the company and enforcement agencies.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of HGV maintenance experience, strong diagnostics, and good communication. A proactive, detail‑orientated team player will thrive in our busy workshop.

The ideal candidate would be a Qualified HGV mechanic, with experience working on Heavy Commercial Vehicles.Candidates will be working on our modern range of Scania Trucks and trailers. Knowledge in BPW and SAF axles, as well as Haldex and Wabco EBS systems, would be an advantage. If you are keen, and willing to learn, this would be an exciting opportunity for you. No two days will be the same with a fleet of 100+ to maintain within our ever expanding fleet.Attractive packages are available for the right candidate.Candidates would ideally be competent in all areas of HGV repairs, inspections, and maintenance.Good working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrics would be an advantage.Responsibilities:Carrying out repairs and inspections to vehicles to the standards required by the company and enforcement agencies.Ensuring that all repairs, inspections, and servicing is to the highest standard.Take instructions from and liaise with the operations manager over the required repairs.Complete all required paperwork/digital forms to the standards required by the company.Identify any chargeable work & report to the Operations Manager.Undertake any related duties which may be required from time to time by the Operations Manager.Experience in HGV maintenance.Good diagnostic capability, knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment.Good communication skills essential.Detail orientated.Professional.Motivated team player.Time Efficient.
