Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor for a Volvo Truck & Bus dealer in Kildare. The role leads a team of 10–15 technicians, ensuring efficient, safe workshop operations and high customer service standards.

Based at the Kildare depot, you will allocate jobs, monitor progress and support fault diagnosis and repairs. A strong HGV mechanical background and prior supervisory experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' post-apprenticeship experience.
• Strong HGV/Commercial Vehicle mechanical background preferred.
• Team Leader/Supervisory experience.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Calm, professional and technically strong.
• HGV/PSV licence an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and coordinate a team of 10–15 technicians.
• Allocate jobs based on skills, workload and agreed times.
• Monitor workshop efficiency, utilisation and job progress.
• Support technicians with fault diagnosis, servicing and repairs.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
• Liaise with Service Advisors and customers regarding job progress and additional work.
• Monitor technician performance and identify training requirements.
• Ensure workshop procedures, housekeeping and company standards are maintained.
