Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland seeks a skilled vehicle maintenance technician to carry out planned and corrective maintenance on fleet, prepare vehicles for CVRT, and assist with apprenticeship training.

The role requires NVQ Level 3, HGV/plant maintenance experience, full driving license, and strong teamwork. Salary up to €70,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for CVRT.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.

This role is working on a three-day shift from 06:00 to 18:30 and full-time position. (for Example, the work pattern will be Monday to Wednesday, off 7 days, work from Thursday to Saturday, off Sunday and then repeat.

Requirements

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.

• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Full driving license.
