Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a reliable maintenance technician to perform planned and corrective mechanical work on vehicles. The role requires HGV/mechanical maintenance experience, a formal NVQ level 3 or equivalent, and a full driving licence.

Experience with Mercedes, Renault, Scania and hydraulic systems is highly valued. The position operates a three-day shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:30, with a full-time commitment and a salary up to €70,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Full driving licence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• C+E licence preferable but not essential.
• Experience with Mercedes, Renault & Scania preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for CVRT.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.

This role is working on a three-day shift from 06:00 to 18:30 and full-time position (for Example, the work pattern will be Monday to Wednesday, off 7 days, work from Thursday to Saturday, off Sunday and then repeat).

Requirements

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Full driving license.
