Job summary

FLI Precast Solutions in Ballon, Co. Carlow, Ireland is seeking a Heavy Plant Operator for its Post-Production team. You will assist in movement of products around site and final loading for dispatch, while upholding safety standards.

Experience with heavy plant and precast processes is advantageous; training will be provided. Day shifts with overtime possible; you will work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy plant vehicles and lifting equipment is advantageous.
• Experience moving heavy loads is advantageous.
• Experience in precast industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of precast lifting and movement processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operation of heavy plant machinery including Combilift Skip, Shunter, forklifts, Straddle Carrier, etc.
• Act as banksman for gantry crane operation including goliath crane.
• Relief operator for goliath crane.
• Assist in strapping down of loads.
• Provide on-the-job training to trainees in the department.
• Attend to health, safety and quality standards in all tasks.
• Keep work area clean and hazard-free.
• Be a role model for health and safety practices.
• Complete other reasonable tasks as assigned.
