The role involves operating excavators and other construction plant machinery on civil engineering projects, ensuring safety, accuracy, and high standards while adhering to site regulations. Location: Leitrim, Newtownforbes, Co.

Longford. Salary: €36,605. Hours: 39 per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in construction or heavy plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation works.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Assist with general site duties when needed.
• Carry out routine daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
• Follow site safety procedures and adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, and other trades.
• Ensure work is completed to required specifications and within deadlines.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report defects promptly.
