Walker Hearing Clinics in Cork is seeking a skilled hearing aid audiologist to join our expanding team. The role involves diagnostic tests for adults and children, hearing aid consultations, fitting and REM verification, and patient education.
You will work across our clinics at CUH grounds, Bandon, The College Road, and Fermoy, with on‑site patient care, ongoing training, and opportunities to develop a diverse skill set.
Walker Hearing Clinics is a family-run audiology practice in Cork with locations at the Consultants Private Clinic (CUH grounds, Wilton), Bandon Primary Care Centre, The College Road Clinic, and Fermoy Primary Care Centre. We provide diagnostic hearing tests for adults and children, supply high-quality hearing aids, and operate wax removal clinics using state-of-the-art endoscopic micro suction technology. Key Responsibilities
This role requires a Hearing Aid Audiologist to perform a wide range of tasks including:
• Diagnostic Hearing Tests for adults
• Hearing aid consultations and sales
• Hearing aid fitting, verification and Real Ear Measurement (REM)
• Custom earmould and impression taking
• Hearing aid prescription, programming and repairs
• Follow up hearing aid care and aftercare appointments
• Troubleshooting and adjustments for existing hearing aid users
• Report writing and patient record maintenance
This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across the commercial and clinical side of an audiology clinic. On the job training will be provided including but not limited to: Supplier hearing aid training, hearing aid fitting (REM) training, custom moulds and impression taking training, sales training, software training & aftercare training.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
•Dedicated to provide high quality service and patient centred care to all patients and families.
•ISHAA registered or ability to register.
•Ability to work well within a team.
•Willingness to learn and adapt to new advancements in technologies; equipment and products.
•Full, clean driving license and own mode of transport.
•Flexible and willingness to travel to all clinic locations.
•Experience with a proven record of working with hearing aid patients, both adults and children, an advantage.
•Strong communication and customer service skills, with an emphasis on empathising with patients and their families when required.
•Sales aptitude and experience in a customer-facing role advantageous.
