Job summary

Walker Hearing Clinics in Cork is seeking a Clinical Audiologist for a full-time permanent role across our Cork locations. You will conduct adult and paediatric hearing tests, write reports, and manage hearing aid sales, prescriptions and repairs.

You will receive on-the-job training in wax removal, REM fitting, custom moulds and related software. Applicants should have an MSc in Audiology, ISHAA registration or eligibility, a full driving licence and a willingness to travel between clinics.

We provide diagnostic hearing tests for adults and children, supply high-quality hearing aids, and operate wax removal clinics using state-of-the-art endoscopic micro suction technology. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience in every aspect of an audiology clinic including clinical and commercial work. On the job training will be provided including but not limited to: Supplier hearing aid training, wax removal training and further certification, hearing aid fitting (REM) training, custom moulds and impression taking training, sales training, software training & microscope training.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

• Dedicated to provide high quality service and patient centred care to all patients and families.
• Minimum education level: Masters of Science degree in Audiology.
• Qualified in the removal of ear wax via micro suction – Additional training & certification will be supplied.
• ISHAA registered or ability to register.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new advancements in technologies; equipment and products.
• Full, clean driving license and own mode of transport.
• Flexible and willingness to travel to all clinic locations.
• Experience with a proven record of working autonomously with both adults and children.
• Hands on autonomous diagnostic experience with patients.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathising with patients and their families when required.
