Job summary

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client is recruiting an Audiologist for a permanent position in South Dublin. The role involves diagnosing and treating hearing, tinnitus, and balance disorders in adults and children with a comprehensive relocation package including sponsorship for a critical skills permit.

You will conduct a range of tests (Otoscopy, PTA, OAE, ABR) and provide clear reports and patient counselling. Immediate CV submission to [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised qualification in Audiology recognised by the Dept of Health and Children in Ireland.
• Experience in diagnostic hearing tests (Otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry).
• Experience in hearing aid repairs is desirable.
• Flexible/appropriate to acute hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, treat and monitor hearing, tinnitus, or balance disorders in adults and paediatrics.
• Interpret audiological test results and provide reports to health/educational professionals.
• Counsel patients, relatives and carers on audiological conditions.

Audiologist – Acute Hospital, South Dublin

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client are recruiting for an Audiologist for a permanent position with an excellent relocation package including sponsorship for a critical skills permit.

Working as an Audiologist, you will:

• Work closely with ENT Lead Clinicians and the Chief Audiologist to identify, diagnose, treat and monitor disorders of hearing, tinnitus, or balance problems in both adults and paediatrics.
• Interpret the results of Audiological assessments and provide recommendations and reports to other health and educational professionals as necessary.
• Provide counselling to patients, relatives and carers on audiological conditions.
• Undertake assessment of hearing & auditory function with appropriate selection of testing methods including, but not limited to:
  • Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA, soundfield, insert, bone conduction)
  • Otoacoustic Emissions
  • Evoked Response Testing (including ABR) in clinic and under anaesthetic, where appropriate.
  • Performance/ Play Audiometry
  • Standard Pure Tone Audiometry
  • Otoscopy
  • Tympanometry
  • Perform behavioural audiological assessments of babies and infants.
  • Assist during assessments/rehabilitation of adult patients with learning difficulties or special needs.

The Candidate:

• Hold a recognised qualification in Audiology recognised by the Dept of Health and Children in Ireland
• Experience in diagnostic hearing tests (Otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry)
• Experience in hearing aid repairs
• Strong knowledge of the anatomy of the ear
• Some post graduate experience is desirable
• Previous experience working within an acute setting, clinical placements will be considered
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
