Brookfield Nursing home is part of CareChoice Group Ireland. We are hiring Healthcare Assistants in Full Time & Part Time roles to support residents with compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and End-of-Life care, within a diverse team. Experience is valued but not essential; strong English and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or working towards.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and a warm caring attitude.
• Good level of English.
• Willing to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care.
• Maintain residents' hygiene and dignity at all times.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking according to nutrition needs.
• Assist with mobilizing and using aids as appropriate.
• Escort or transfer residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist in End-of-Life care.
• Perform other duties as required by nurses and management.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all time
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs
• Assisting residents with mobilizing as appropriate and using correct aids
• Escorting or/and transfer residents as directed by the Nursing staff
• Assisting in End-of-Life Care
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Qualifications And Skills

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare/Relevant healthcare qualification (or working towards).
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Have a good level of English language skills
• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday.
