Job summary

CareChoice is seeking full-time and part-time Healthcare Assistants for Elm Hall and Springcare in Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland. The role includes supporting nursing staff, maintaining resident hygiene, assisting with meals and mobility, and End-of-Life care where needed, on-site at our residential facilities.

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare is preferred (or working towards it). A warm, caring attitude and good English are essential, with ability to work varied shifts including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or working towards it.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Good level of English language skills.
• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to residents.
• Ensuring residents' hygiene and personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while preserving dignity.
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with nutrition needs.
• Assisting residents with mobilizing as appropriate and using correct aids.
• Escorting and transferring residents as directed by Nursing staff.
• Assisting in End-of-Life Care.
• Carrying out any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

We are now looking for a kind and reliable Healthcare Assistant for Elm Hall and Springcare to provide excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene that are maintained throughout our facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident’s dignity at all time
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs
• Assisting residents with mobilizing as appropriate and using correct aids
• Escorting or/and transfer residents as directed by the Nursing staff
• Assisting in End-of-Life Care
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Qualifications and Skills

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare/Relevant healthcare qualification (or working towards).
