Job summary

CareChoice is seeking Full-time/Part-time Healthcare Assistants to support our residents at Ballintemple, Cork, Ireland. The role is on-site with permanent positions available and varied shift patterns across days, nights and weekends.

You will work with a team of healthcare professionals in a diverse environment, delivering high-quality holistic care and maintaining residents’ dignity at all times. Training and development are provided, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or working towards.
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Have a good level of English language skills.
• Availability to work varied shift patterns: days, nights & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to residents.
• Maintain residents' hygiene and dignity at all times.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking according to nutrition needs.
• Assist with mobility and use of correct aids.
• Escort or transfer residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist in End-of-Life care.
• Perform any other duties as directed by nurse and management.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all time
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs
• Assisting residents with mobilizing as appropriate and using correct aids
• Escorting or/and transfer residents as directed by the Nursing staff
• Assisting in End-of-Life Care
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Qualifications and Skills

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare/Relevant healthcare qualification (or working towards).
