Job summary

CareChoice Nursing Home Group is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants for our Brookfield Care Centre in Leamlara, Co Cork. The role is full-time and permanent, with a 39-hour work week across day and night shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal care, nutrition, mobility, and end-of-life care, under nursing supervision. Access to own transport is required; driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or Healthcare Support preferred.
• Driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in providing holistic care to residents.
• Maintain resident hygiene and personal care with dignity.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking according to nutrition needs.
• Assist with mobility and use of aids; support transfer and escort.
• Provide end-of-life care as required.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by nursing staff.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all times.
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs.
• Assisting residents with mobilising as appropriate and using correct aids.
• Escorting or/and transfer residents as directed by the Nursing staff.
• Assisting in End-of-Life Care.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Please note, this location is not accessible via public transport and access to own transport is required.

Hours per week: 39
