Job summary

CareChoice Swords is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join a long-established nursing home team in Swords, Co. Dublin. This on-site role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive, multicultural environment alongside experienced healthcare professionals.

We welcome applicants with QQI Level 5 in Healthcare and good English. The position includes varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) and competitive rates of pay with comprehensive induction and ongoing

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Strong English language skills.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including days, nights & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in delivering holistic resident care.
• Maintain residents' hygiene and dignity at all times.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking according to nutrition needs.
• Assist mobilization and use of aids as appropriate.
• Escort or transfer residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist in End of Life Care.
• Perform other duties as required by nurse and management.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high quality holistic care to our residents
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all time
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs
• Assisting residents with mobilizing as appropriate and using correct aids
• Escorting or/and transfer residents as directed by the Nursing staff
• Assisting in End of Life Care
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Qualifications and Skills

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare/Relevant healthcare qualification required.
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring attitude.
• Have a good level of English language skills
• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday.
