Job summary

InterSearch Ireland Ltd. is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Health & Safety function across two manufacturing sites in Ireland.

You will report to the Head of Site Operations and shape safety strategy, strengthen compliance, and embed a proactive safety culture across the business. You will partner with site leadership and the Group H&S function on governance, audits, risk assessments, and major capital projects, ensuring alignment with Irish legislation and industry

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• CMIOSH or working towards chartered status.
• Proven leadership in manufacturing/industrial safety.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation.
• Willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health & Safety strategy and governance across two manufacturing sites, promoting consistency and best practice.
• Develop and continuously improve management systems, policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements through audits, risk assessments and effective governance.
• Lead incident, accident and near-miss investigations, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to integrate Health & Safety into daily manufacturing operations, business planning and organisational change.
• Provide Health & Safety oversight for engineering and capital investment projects, from design through to construction and commissioning.

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Health & Safety function across two manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Head of Site Operations, this is a high-profile leadership opportunity to shape safety strategy, strengthen compliance and embed a proactive safety culture across the business.

Working closely with site leadership teams and the Group Health & Safety function, the successful candidate will play a key role in operational performance, continuous improvement and major engineering and capital investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Health & Safety strategy and governance across two manufacturing sites, promoting consistency and best practice.
• Develop and continuously improve management systems, policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements through audits, risk assessments and effective governance.
• Lead incident, accident and near-miss investigations, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to integrate Health & Safety into daily manufacturing operations, business planning and organisational change.
• Provide Health & Safety oversight for engineering and capital investment projects, from design through to construction and commissioning.
• A degree, diploma or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Chartered IOSH membership (CMIOSH) or working towards chartered status.
• Proven Health & Safety leadership experience within manufacturing, food production, FMCG or an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading audits, inspections, investigations and compliance programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, analytical and communication skills.
• A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.

Commutable from Cavan and surrounding areas, including parts of Monaghan, Meath, Louth and Westmeath.
