FRS Recruitment is sourcing a Health & Safety Manager for a leading Cork manufacturing site. This standalone leadership role places you at the core of the safety function, reporting to senior management and working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to strengthen safety standards and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a health & safety leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and practical risk management.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Safety Management Systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and auditing experience.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge unsafe practices.
• A proactive hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and own site safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site Health & Safety strategy, policies and improvement programmes.
• Maintain effective Safety Management Systems, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Review and maintain risk assessments, safety statements, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Lead incident investigations, identify trends and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor H&S performance through audits, KPIs and management reporting.
• Develop and deliver employee inductions, training and safety awareness programmes.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality and senior management to identify risks and implement practical improvements.
• Promote employee engagement, safety ownership and continuous improvement across the site.

Are you an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a strong manufacturing background looking for a role where you can lead site-wide safety and drive continuous improvement?

Our client, an established manufacturing organisation in Cork, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to take full ownership of the site Health & Safety function.

This is a standalone leadership role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior management and operational teams to strengthen safety standards, ensure compliance and build a proactive safety culture across the plant.
