Job summary

SSA Group in Cork is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a manufacturing site. This permanent, site-based role focuses on leading safety, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continual improvement across operations.

The ideal candidate will conduct inductions and toolbox talks, manage health and safety documentation, and promote on-site training. Minimum 3 years in manufacturing H&S with relevant qualification; salary circa €60,000-€70,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Minimum 3+ years manufacturing experience in heavy duty industry and 3+ years H&S experience.
• Excellent report writing and numerical skills with proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in maintaining and enhancing all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in operational delivery, ensuring all statutory requirements are met across the site.
• Oversee and review site performance.
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Assist in the overall compilation of Health & Safety Documentation.
• Ensure that personnel are understanding of their duties and responsibilities.
• Actively participate in the promotion of health-related risks and on-site training.
• Delivery of HSE processes, procedures, standards and systems.
• Ensure that inspection records are maintained and preserved for all activities and plant equipment.
