Job summary

Primark in Ireland is seeking a Head of Space Optimisation to define and deliver a best-in-class space strategy across all stores, including new openings and refits, integrating CAD, data and modelling into a single, commercially focused team.

You will lead cross-functional partnerships with Retail, Merchandising, Buying and Property, shape governance, and drive data-driven decisions to maximise ROI on space across the estate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior leadership in retail space optimisation.
• Strong commercial acumen to use space as a lever for sales and margin.
• Highly data-driven with ability to translate insights into actions.
• Strategic and operational capability with execution focus.
• Excellent stakeholder management at executive level.
• Technical space planning expertise; AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the Space Optimisation strategy.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Retail, Merchandising, Buying and Property.
• Own end-to-end space optimisation framework and governance.
• Lead space optimisation for new stores and refits; layouts and allocation.
• Develop a centralised Space Optimisation Model for data-driven decisions.
• Oversee CAD and linear planning; improve planning accuracy.
• Own space data, reporting, modelling and performance metrics.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team.
