Job summary

Primark Stores Limited in Ireland seeks a Head of Merchandising to lead the Merchandising teams, partnering with Buying and Design to shape strategy, drive commercial performance and customer value in a fast fashion environment.

You will develop and empower teams, set targets, evaluate performance and maintain a culture of innovation while ensuring the department delivers on sales, ranges and budgets across Primark's stores.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a Merchandising role, with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
• Qualification in fashion-related or commerce-related subject, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience implementing and executing Merchandising strategies and plans.
• Experience building high-performance cultures through targets, performance reviews and engagement.
• Strong relationships across the business, including Executive level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Merchandising teams and provide strategic direction to Buying and Design leadership.
• Oversee forecasting, trading and stock management to maximise sales and optimize stock levels.
• Set and communicate strategic direction, focusing on trend, growth and commercial opportunities.
• Develop product knowledge, market insights and competitive intelligence to maximise sales.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
