Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Leopardstown Racecourse's day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, cost-effective and high-quality raceday and event experiences. You will report to the CEO and contribute to strategic objectives and continuous improvement across operations and facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' management experience in a venue, events, operations, hospitality, leisure, sport, or related environment.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder operations and teams.
• Strong safety, regulatory, and risk management knowledge.
• Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours for racedays and events.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of Leopardstown Racecourse to deliver high-quality raceday experiences.
• Coordinate and oversee all raceday operations and non-raceday events.
• Manage delivery of race day logistics, including third-party providers and staffing.
• Liaise with IHRB and other stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Develop operational plans, processes and procedures for the racecourse calendar.
• Line manage the Operations Executive and casual raceday staff.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and customer focus across teams.
• Deliver customer service training to ensure high-quality experiences.
• Oversee relationships with contractors, suppliers and partners.
• Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
