Job summary

BMS Performance Ireland, a Dublin-based manufacturer and distributor, seeks Head of Procurement to lead purchasing strategy, supplier relationships and demand planning across the business.

The role requires senior leadership, cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Sales, Finance and Warehouse, and ownership of S&OP processes, inventory management and working capital optimization. Competitive salary 75k–90k, pension, 22 days leave, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded procurement professional with significant purchasing and supplier management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or distribution environments is preferred.
• Strong strategic procurement and supplier negotiations background.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the procurement and supply chain team.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and performance.
• Oversee demand forecasting, replenishment planning and purchasing commitments.
• Drive improvements in inventory management, stock availability and working capital.
• Lead S&OP processes and cross‑functional planning initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to reduce excess and slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse and Finance to improve performance.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and supplier service levels.
• Lead continuous improvement across purchasing, planning and systems.
