Job summary

Scientific Holdings seeks a Business Development Manager to drive sales of laboratory testing services across Ireland and the UK. The role combines new client acquisition with cross-selling the group’s scientific and regulatory offerings and requires collaboration with our laboratory teams.

You will identify prospects, understand their regulatory needs, and translate them into feasible studies and proposals, managing opportunities through the sales cycle to sustained commercial relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, toxicology, pharmaceutical science, biomedical science, biotechnology or equivalent.
• Experience in scientific services or regulated industries.
• Proven track record in business development and client-facing roles.
• Ability to translate complex technical data into commercial proposals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new clients across regulated sectors.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of opportunities.
• Develop relationships with technical, regulatory, procurement and senior decision-makers.
• Translate client requirements into studies and proposals with lab teams.
• Prepare scopes of work, quotations and responses to proposals.
• Cross-sell services across the Scientific Holdings Group.
